The Great Commission

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

As disciples of Jesus we are called to make disciples for Jesus as we are going in our natural rhythms of life. We are about making the name of Jesus famous in our everyday lives as individuals and as a church.

Making disciples is about living life with people in the ways of Jesus baptizing and teaching them all the He commands.

Jesus was sent to us. He was the first missionary. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave His only Son". Just as God sent, He calls us to live sent. We believe, we are missionaries sent to our families, our communities, our city, and the world to live and speak the Good News of Jesus. As a church we are missional in going to our community, city, and the world on a regular basis throughout the year.

MPCC will be a unified community of believers living in the Way of Jesus, loving our city and impacting the world for His glory.

Core Values

Acts 2:42-47could be considered a purpose statement for the church: “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” According to this verse, the purposes of the church should be 1) to teach God's Word as truth and authority. 2) To live in Gospel community in the context of daily life. 3) To observe the Lord’s Supper in order to remember the sacrifice of Jesus and as His believers, live for Him in our daily lives. 4) To be a people of prayer.

Therefore, as believers we will be a people of:

  • Biblical Proclamation (Acts 2:42)

  • Sacrificial LOVE (Acts 2:42)

  • Wholehearted Worship (Acts 2:42)

  • Desperate Prayer (Acts 2:42)

  • Exponential Multiplication (Acts 2:47)
