OUR MISSION

TO MAKE DISCIPLES WHO MAKE DISCIPLES.

Name

The name Mission Point Community Church was chosen very intentionally.  We believe it describes the church we are called to be.

  • “Mission” because we want to be defined as on mission – a mission to share the Gospel and make disciples “as we go” locally and to the nations.
  • “Point” because we want to be very focused; we want everything we do to support that mission.
  • “Community” because we know that, only as the body of Christ, can we be effective; by combining our individual gifts, passions, experiences, and resources, we become a “church” capable of making a real difference locally and around the world.

History

In June of 2013, after 20 years serving churches across the Southeast, Pastor Doug Campbell accepted the invitation to become Executive Director of Re-Vision, Inc., a missions organization serving “the least of these” in the Dominican Republic.

After but a few months, however, Doug realized that his passion for missions had in no way diminished his calling to serve a local church.  After much prayer, and at the urging of some trusted friends and advisors, Mission Point Community Church was born.

The first official gathering of MPCC was on January 5, 2014, as 17 people worshipped together in the Campbell home.  After quickly outgrowing that space, the services were moved to the Concord Baptist Association offices, and then the current location - 2227B Southpark Drive, Murfreesboro, TN.

Beliefs

We affirm that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, that it is without error, and that it is the basis for our beliefs.

We are affiliated denominationally with the Southern Baptist Convention and subscribe to the doctrinal statement of The Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
